Cognitive therapy

Cognitive therapy is any form of psychotherapy based on the viewpoint of cognitive psychology. It regards the way in which people make sense of their experiences as crucial to their treatment and helps them identify the beliefs and expectations behind their unhappiness. It then attempts to encourage positive thought patterns in place of negative ones.
