Compressed Workweek

Compressed workweek schedules, which mean employees work fewer days each week, but each day they work longer hours. Non-conventional workweeks come in many flavors. Some firms have 4-day workweeks, with four 10-hour days. Some workers- in hospitals, for instance- work three 12-hour shifts, and then are off for the next 4 days.

Compressed workweek is the scheduling option that allows employees to work the regular number of hours per week in fewer than the typical five days.
