Global force management

Global force management refers to

1. A process that provides near-term sourcing solutions while providing the integrating mechanism between force apportionment, allocation, and assignment.  Also call GFM.   

2. A process to align assignment, allocation, and apportionment of forces to combatant commanders in support of the national defense strategy and joint force availability requirements
