Global North

Global North is countries that have a high level of industrialization. With the exception of Australia and New Zealand, these countries are located in the northern hemisphere, and most of them were formerly considered the “First World.” Following the collapse of the Soviet bloc, however, a number of Eastern European countries were reclassified as part of the Global North.
