Midcareer crisis substage

Period between ages the mid-30s and mid-40s, the person may enter the midcareer crisis substage. During this period, people often make a major reassessment of their progress relative to original ambitions and goals. They may find that they are not going to realize their dreams (such as being company president) or that having this period, people have to decide how important work and career and to be in their lives. It is often during this midcareer sub stage that some people face, for these time, the difficult choices between what they really want, what really can be accomplished, and how much must be sacrificed to achieve it.
