Money market deposit accounts (MMDAs)

Money market deposit accounts (MMDAs) is the short-maturity deposits having a term of only a few days, weeks, or months and on which the bank can pay any competitive interest rate over designated short intervals of ti9me; these deposits may also have limited checking account powers.
