Physical distribution

Physical distribution is the actual movement of products from producer to consumers or business users.


Activities that involve the movement of products through marketing channels form manufacturer to consumer; establishing customer service standards, selecting transportation modes, designing and operating warehouse facilities, handling products, and managing inventory.
