Recovered memor

Memories apparently brought into conscious awareness, from the unconscious where they have been repressed, through hypnosis or the suggestion of a psychotherapist, as known recovered memory. These memories are often of early sexual abuse and in any given case might be accurate, but they are widely regarded as unreliable by themselves because of the ease with which false memories can be constructed.
