Foreign Bank Supervision Enhancement

Foreign Bank Supervision Enhancement is the U.S. law, passed in 1991, giving the Federal Reserve Board greater regulatory powers over foreign banks operating in the United States, including the power to close a foreign bank’s U.S. facilities it found to be inadequately supervised or operated in an unsafe manner.
