Junk bonds

Junk bonds cen be defined as bonds with ratings below Baa (or BBB) that have a high default risk.


Junk bond is a low-grade bond that carries a very high risk because it is issued by financially weak companies with no solid collateral, to fund internal expansion or corporate acquisitions and buyouts.
