Normal distribution

A normal distribution is a distribution of scores that produces a symmetrical, bell-shaped curve in which the right half mirrors the left half and in which the mean, median, and mode all have the same value.


Normal distribution is the distribution of data from a random sample of the population. when these data are plotted on a graph they show up as a symmetrical bell-shaped curve with scores clustered around the average and declining towards either extreme.
