Push strategy

Push strategy is a promotion strategy that calls for using the sales force and trade promotion to push the product through channels. The producer promotes the product to channel members who in turn promote it to final consumers.


Push strategy is a strategy directed at the members of the marketing channel rather than the consumer.


Promotion of a product to wholesalers or retailers in the marketing channel, who in turn promote, or “push” the product to consumers.
