Structured decisions

There are three types of decisions that manager recall – structured, semistructured, unstructured.

Structured decisions are routine and repetitive and follow a set of predetermined steps. Solutions to such problems do not rely on the intuition or judgment of the decision maker. So, this kind of decisions is straightforward and returns the same solution every time.

For example

 - Calculating the compound interest on a loan is a structured decision; it follows a standard procedure and requires no intuition or judgment.
