Tip-of-the-tongue phenomenon

Tip-of-the-tongue phenomenon is the inability to recall information that one realizes one knows a result of the difficulty of retrieving information from long-term memory.


Tip-of-the-tongue phenomenon is the failure to recall something we know very well which is on the 'tip of the tongue'. This is due to a failure of retrieval from long-term memory storage rather than the repression of painful memories.
