Multicultural Perspective is a focus on understanding the cultural and ethnic factors that influence social behavior.

In sociology, the multicultural perspective explains the way in which a specific society handles cultural diversity. This perspective expresses the vision that society is augmented by encouraging, respecting, and preserving cultural diversity through this assumption that members of extremely diverse cultures can exist together peacefully. From political philosophy, this perspective indicates the manners of how societies select to form and implement policies officially managing the equitable treatment of various cultures.  This perspective can be considered within a nation or within the communities of a nation.

Supporters of this perspective believe that individuals need to retain at least some characteristics of their traditions or cultures. Opponents believe that it may threaten the social order by reducing the influence and identity of the main culture.

Multicultural Perspective represents the view that races, ethnicities, cultures, specifically those of the minority of the population, need special acknowledgment or recognition of their differences within a predominant political culture.
