Unstructured task is a task that relies heavily on intuition, judgment, and experience. Top and middle managers often engage in unstructured decision making.

Unstructured task include:

- assessing the way competitors may react to a new marketing strategy.

- predicting the impact of changes in the global economy.

- developing global competitive strategies, and so on.
