Addresses registry
Any of a number of IP addresses registry organizations worldwide. (Some are governmental, especially outside the U.S. and Europe; many are private, for profit companies). These organization doles out IP addresses, manage IP address ranges, and handle DNS domain name registration under the auspices of the IANA (Internet Assigned Numbers Authority, and sub-organization under the Internet Society, or ISOC).
