Broadband

Broadband is the high bandwidth requirement for the delivery of multimedia content over the Web. It transmits multiple streams of analog signals over the network using frequency division multiplexing. Useful for transmitting large amounts of data over long distances. Broadband is usually used to connect separate LANs, such as those at universities and large corporations.
