Dependent variable

The dependent variable is dependent on the actions of the participants or subjects-the people taking part in the experiment. The variable that is measured and is expected to change as a result of changes caused by the experimenter’s manipulation of the independent variable.


Dependent Variable is the variable that is measured in an experiment.


Dependent variable refers to experimental psychology, the variable whose state is one of dependence on the independent variable. The independent variable constitutes the stimulus and the dependent variable the response. Any changes measured in the response are attributed to the effects of the stimulus.
