Fixations

Fixations conflicts or concerns that persist beyond the developmental period in which they first occur.

Fixation is an excessive emotional attachment to a person or thing. In psychoanalysis, the term implies being stuck in one of the psychosexual stages of childhood (oral, anal or phallic) and maintaining towards a person or object an ambivalent attachment appropriate to that stage.
