Needs hierarchy

Needs hierarchy is psychologist Abraham Maslow’s motivational theory that people have five basic needs arranged in a hierarchy:

Physiological, safety, social, esteem, and self-actualization. Each higher-order need has the power to motivate behavior only when lower-level needs have been fulfilled.
