Sampling
Sampling is the taking a small part of a population in order to draw inferences from the analysis of the sample characteristics to the population as a whole.
Sampling means users are allowed to sample a digital prior to purchase. For example, software companies provide a free 30-60 day trial and online music stores give 30 second sound clips to customers.
