Twisted Pair
A twisted pair consists of two insulated strands of copper wire, twisted together. When a number of twisted pairs are grouped together and enclosed in protective sheath, they form a cable. Twisted-pair cable, one of the most popular telecommunication media, is used for phone lines and computer networks.
