10 Base 2 is a designation for 802.3 Ethernet thin coaxial cable (also called thin net, thin wire or cheaper net). The 10 includes bandwidth of 10 Mbps, the Base indicated it’s a baseband transmission technology, and the 2 indicates a maximum segment length for this cable type of 200 meters.
