Agency

Agency— In intelligence usage, an organization or individual engaged in collecting and/or processing information.  Also called collection agency.


Agency is the legal relationship whereby one party, called a principal, appoints another party, called an agent, to enter into contracts with third parties on the principal’s behalf.


Agency is A separate table of distribution and allowances organization under the direct supervision of Headquarters, Department of the Army. An agency can be functionally described as having either a staff support or field operating mission.


 

Agency is a unit or organization which has primary responsibility for performing duties or functions as representative of, and within the assigned authority of, the headquarters to which it is subordinate.


Agency means a legal relationship between two parties who agree that the agent will act on behalf of the principal.
