Agrarian society

Agrarian society is the most technologically advanced form of preindustrial society. Members are engaged primarily in the production of food, but increase their crop yields through technological innovations such as the plow.

Definition Two:

Agrarian society is the society whose mode of production is based on agriculture (crop growing) primarily through the use of human and animal energy.
