Bonded Goods

Bonded Goods are the goods held in store under customs control after removal from wharf or airport pending payment of import duty.

Goods are said to be “in bond” and may be re-exported from bond without payment of duty.

Insurance may be taken out over the goods held in bond; this is referred to as “Bonding and Insurance”.
