Convergent thinking

Convergent thinking, which produces responses that are based primarily on knowledge and logic. For instance, someone relying on convergent thinking would answer “you read it” to the query “what can you do with a newspaper?” In contrast, “you use it as a dustpan” is a more divergent – and creative – response.


Convergent thinking which things along conventional lines in an attempt to find the best single answer to a problem.
