COPPA(children’s online protection act)

COPPA(children’s online protection act) which requires that web sites and other online media that knowingly collect information from children 12 years of age or under (1) provide notice to parents (2) obtain verifiable parental consent prior to the collection, use or disclosure of most information (3) allow parents to view and correct this information (4) enable parents to prevent further use or collection of data (5) limit personal information collection for a child’s participation in games, prize offers, or related activities; and (6)establish procedures that protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of the personal information collected.
