Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS)
Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) is the agency within the Texas Health and Human Services Commission dedicated to ensuring that people with disabilities and families who have children with developmental delays have the same opportunities as other Texans to pursue independent and productive lives. DARS consists of the Division for Rehabilitation Services, the Division for Blind Services, the Division for Early Childhood Intervention, the Division for Disability Determination Services and the Division for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services.
