Intelligence quotient (IQ) is the measure of an individual’s cognitive abilities, as measured by an intelligence test.

Intelligence quotient (IQ) is a score attained on tests of symbolic or reasoning abilities. Most social scientists (excluding psychologists) put little stock in the validity of IQ tests.
