Manufacturing

Manufacturing consists of activities and process that convert raw materials into finished goods. Contrast this type of operation with merchandising, which sells merchandise in the form in which it is purchased.

Manufacturing is the actual process of making products out of materials and parts: literally, creating something by the work of one’s hands.
