Medical intelligence preparation of the operational environment

Medical intelligence preparation of the operational environment refers to a systematic continuing process that analyzes information on medical and disease threats, enemy capabilities, terrain, weather, local medical infrastructure, potential humanitarian and refugee situations, transportation issues, and political, religious and social issues for all types of operations.  Also called MIPOE.
