Oculus Rift

Virtual reality (VR) is the most exciting tech development in recent years. Oculus Rift is one of the latest implementation of VR. It is a virtual reality headset device. This headset is developed and manufactured by Oculus VR.

Wear it in front of one’s eyes, one can use it to transport to fantastical game worlds, distant real world locations, or even just for watching films. This device uses a dual OLED display with a 2,160 x 1,200 resolutions and a 90Hz refresh rate and tracks the head position to provide accurate low-latency movements.

An external sensor which connects to your PC, can track infrared LEDs on the front of the headset to translate your movements into your new virtual environment.

Consumer Release Date: Pre-orders start to ship March 28, 2016 and new orders ship no earlier than July
