Person marketing is the use of efforts designed to attract the attention, interest, and preference of a target market toward a person.
“Person Marketing is marketing activity aimed at creating target market awareness, and a favorable opinion, of a particular person.”
This type of marketing includes activities for changing attitudes of certain people.
It is quite interesting that an individual’s image/persona can become greater than the individual herself/himself. It becomes possible when an individual markets herself/himself. Such persons can endorse a service or a product and can affect or influence the consumers ‘choice. Mostly renowned personalities, players, politicians, film stars market themselves as well as the different products or services. Some examples include Cristiano Ronaldo, the renowned football player endorsing Clear Shampoo and Nike sports shoes; Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the famous film actress endorsing L’Oreal Shampoo; Salman Khan, the popular film superstar endorsing Pepsi and the like.
