Point Method

The point method is a quantitative technique. It involves identifying (1) several compensable factors, each having several degrees, as well as (2) the degree to which each of these factors is present in the job. Assume there are five degrees of “responsibility” a job could contain.


Point Method is the job evaluation method in which a number of compensable factors are identified and then the degree to which each of these factors is present on the job is determined.
