Point to point tunneling protocol (PPTP)
Point to point tunneling protocol (PPTP) is a special TCP/IP-based transport proto9col that encrypts all traffic before transmission across a network link and decrypts all incoming traffic from a network link. PPTP permits the Internet (and other public IP-based networks) to function as part of a VPN.
