Resolution is the sharpness of an image which determined by the number of pixels on the screen. It refers to a monitor’s capacity for displaying pixels (short of picture elements), which are tiny illuminated points on the computer screen that affect the resolution or sharpness of screen images. Resolution is usually expressed in two numbers, for example, 640 by 480. The first number is the horizontal number of pixels and the second is the vertical number of pixels.
