Solvency ratios

Solvency ratios measure the ability of a company to survive over a long period of time. Log-term creditors and stockholders are particularly interested in a company’s ability to pay interest as it comes due and to repay the face value of debt at maturity. Debt to total assets and times interest earned are two ratios that provide information about debt-paying ability.
