Standing joint force headquarters

Standing joint force headquarters is a staff organization, operating under a flag or general officer providing a combatant commander with a full-time, trained joint command and control element integrated into the combatant commander’s staff whose focus is on contingency and crisis action planning.  Also called SJFHQ.
