URL (uniform resource locator)
URL (uniform resource locator) is the URL provides information on the protocol, the system, and the file name, so that the user’s system can find a particular document on the Internet. An example of a URL is www.sholink. Com/, which indicates that “Hypertext Transfer Protocol” is the protocol and that the information is located on a system named www.sholink.com,” which is the Hotlink Corporation’s web server. This example does not show a particular file name since most web servers are set up to point to a home page if no file name is used.
