Absenteeism
Absenteeism is the failure to show up for work. It’s difficult for work to get done if employees don’t show up. Studies have shown that unscheduled absences cost companies around $660 per employee per year.
Although absenteeism can’t be totally eliminated, excessive levels have a direct and immediate impact on the organization’s functioning.
