Batch Processing
The second type of processing is batch processing in Transaction processing system (TPS).
In batch processing, transactions are accumulated over a certain period of time, such as a day, a week, a month, or a quarter, before they are processed.
For example:
- A company may process the travel expenses of its employees on a monthly basis, whereas sales may be processed at the end of each day.
