Civil Rights Act of 1964

Civil Rights Act of 1964 means a federal statute enacted to further guarantee the constitutional rights of individuals and prevent employment discrimination based on race, color, sex, religion, national origin or age.


Civil Rights Act of 1964 is an act that makes various forms of discrimination illegal. Title VІІ of the act spells out the forms of illegal discrimination.
