Closure— in transportation, refers to the process of a unit’s arriving at a specified location.
Closure is a principle of Gestalt psychology that has generally been accepted in the study of perception, i.e. that the brain has a built-in tendency to perceive meaning, completion and coherence where the objective sensory facts may have no meaning, be incomplete or incoherent. Thus a figure with a part missing will be perceived as though it were whole. The term is also used in psychotherapy (and even in general parlance) to denote a line of investigation that has been opened up but not yet completed.
