Currency Futures Contracts

Futures contracts are some what similar to forward contracts except that they are sold on an exchange where as forward contracts are offered by commercial banks. A currency futures contract specifies a standard volume of a particular currency to be exchanged on a specific settlement date. Some MNCs involved in international trade use the currency futures markets to hedge their positions.
