Departmentalization

The basis on which jobs are grouped together, is called departmentalization. There are five common forms of departmentalization, although an organization may use its own unique classification.


Departmentalization is the process of creating the basic format or departmental structure for the organization; forming groups, departments, and divisions, on the basis of the objectives of the organization.
