Screening

Usually the first step taken during the interviewing process, involving reviewing prospective candidate applications/resumes, verifying information supplied by the candidate, conducting interviews and examining test results it is called Screening.

Screening— in intelligence, refers to the evaluation of an individual or a group of individuals to determine their potential to answer collection requirements or to identify individuals who match a predetermined source profile coupled with the process of identifying and assessing the areas of knowledge, cooperation, and possible approach techniques for an individual who has information of intelligence value.


Screening - in mental health, a brief formal or informal assessment to identify individuals who have mental health problems or are likely to develop such problems. If a problem is
detected, the screening can also determine the most appropriate mental health
services for the individual.
