Telecommuting
Telecommuting is a job approach in which employees work at home and are linked to the workplace by computer and modem.
For example, around 40 percent of IMB’s workforce has no physical office space. The number is even higher for sun Microsystems, where nearly 50 percent of employees work offsite.
Telecommuting is a work arrangement in which employees work at remote locations, usually at home, using video displays, computers, and
other telecommunications equipment to carry out their responsibilities.
