Times interest earned ratio is a solvency measure that indicates a company’s ability to meet interest payments computed by dividing income before income taxes and interest expense by interest expense.
A debt ratio that measures how many times during the year a business earns the amount of interest t must pay; computed by dividing income before interest and taxes by interest expense.
